The Accountancy firm of Augustus Prom Chartered Certified Accountants and Management Consultants was established in The Gambia in 1984 by Mr. Augustus Prom, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, (FCCA) United Kingdom. The firm has been providing services such as; accounting, auditing, taxation, insolvency, business and management consultancies.

The firm has grown from a small enterprise to a big establishment continuing to render such services and increasing its portfolio in the exercise of providing services such as the trading of company shares. Presently the firm of Augustus Prom has developed and has the capacity to undertake accounting related exercises.

The Clients of the firm are many ranging from companies in all sectors of Gambia’s economy, Non Governmental Organizations (NGO), Educational Institutes, Gambia Government, World Bank Projects, UN, African Development Bank Projects, Islamic Development Bank and other Donor Projects.

The firm had cooperated with Coopers & Lybrand of UK on management consultancy assignments conducted in the Gambia and co-opted local consulting firms.

The firm has independently conducted and is still conducting audit assignments in the sub region, in Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Sierra Leone and Liberia. It has also conducted audits in Dakar, Senegal.

The firm has staff complements of 25 with experienced technical staff of 16 ranging from those with professional qualifications such as ACCA, MBA, BSc holders and qualified accounting technicians, i.e. AAT & CAT.

Our vision is focused on providing our clients with superior service, technical excellence, and best use of staff resources in a cost-effective manner. This draws much on our experience and exposure to our previous and diverse engagements.
